Congratulations to seniors Savannah Smalling and Tanner Mrazek and junior Chloe Dunnam for competing in this year’s Region 18 Special Olympics and coming home with the hardware!

Smalling competed in the 100m dash where she took second place and javeline where she took first place. Dunnam also competed in the 100m dash as well as shot-put.

“I was kinda nervous at the beginning but by the end I was happy,” Dunnam said.

Mrazek competed in the 200m dash and the standing long jump. He also set a personal record in the 200m dash during the competition.

“My best memory is the track and field events,” said Mrazek.

Be sure to congratulate your fellow Steers on their hard work and success!
